Zillow's #1 Seller Team in America Just Made a Major Move. Here's Their Strategy.
K2 Omni Group was ranked the #1 Zillow seller team in the country as of June 2024. In September 2025 the Albuquerque-based team moved to eXp Realty. The interesting part is not the ranking; it is what they did with the move afterwards.
The figures and quotes below are from eXp Realty's announcement of the signing.
What eXp reported
- #1 Zillow seller team in the nation, June 2024
- $105 million in 2024 sales volume across 313 transactions
- Grew from 22 agents to 56 agents plus 12 support staff over the period covered by the announcement
- Seven markets across New Mexico, Texas, Arizona, Florida and Massachusetts
The word they used was multiplier
"We looked at eXp as a multiplier. The systems, comp structure, and national reach weren't just impressive — they were scalable." — Kristina Salcido, co-founder, quoted in eXp Realty's announcement of the move.
Strip the recruiting language and there is a concrete mechanism underneath. A team operating in seven states under a conventional brokerage needs a licensed entity, a broker of record and a fee structure in each one. Under eXp the licensing footprint already exists, which is why expansion teams cluster there. It is an operational advantage, not a cultural one.
Massachusetts is on the list
Worth noting for local readers: one of the seven markets is Massachusetts. That is not a Bean Group connection and we make no claim on it. It is simply evidence that a team based 2,000 miles away can carry a licence into New England without opening an office here — which is the same mechanism that lets a New England team expand outward.
How team structures are defined, and what qualifies as a Mega Team, is covered on our eXp teams page. If your interest is in building the downline rather than the roster, the team growth page is the more relevant read.
The economics behind a move like this
eXp's standard commission split is 80/20 to the agent against a $16,000 annual cap, after which the agent keeps 100% subject to per-transaction fees. On Bean Group's Mega Team the eXp cap is $4,000. The Bean Group team split is a separate, uncapped line item that varies by level — the detail is on our partnership plans page, and anyone modelling a move should include both numbers.
Caps, splits and revenue share get restated from time to time. eXp's live reference is exptoolkit.com/revenueshare, and it is worth opening before you build a comparison spreadsheet.
