New Hampshire community guide
Littleton, Lincoln, Franconia and the I-93 notch towns on the western side of the White Mountains.

Understanding the area
Littleton sits on the Ammonoosuc River, with Main Street above the water. Lincoln and Woodstock are at the southern end of Franconia Notch where the Kancamagus Highway meets I-93, and Franconia and Sugar Hill sit west of the notch.
The market also includes Bath, Benton, Bethlehem, Carroll, Easton, Jefferson, Landaff, Lisbon, Lyman, Monroe, Waterville Valley and Whitefield.
Franconia Notch cuts through the range between Franconia and Lincoln, carrying I-93 past Cannon Mountain and Echo Lake. The Ammonoosuc River runs from Carroll down through Bethlehem, Littleton, Lisbon and Bath to the Connecticut River. The Pemigewasset River begins in the notch and runs south through Lincoln and Woodstock.
Cannon Mountain and Echo Lake stand in Franconia Notch, and Mount Moosilauke rises above Benton to the southwest. Waterville Valley sits at the head of the Mad River valley, and the Connecticut River forms the Vermont line at Monroe and Bath.
Interstate 93 runs north through Woodstock, Lincoln and Franconia Notch to Franconia and Littleton. The Kancamagus Highway (Route 112) crosses east from Lincoln to Conway. Route 302 runs east from Littleton through Bethlehem and Carroll toward Crawford Notch, and Route 3 links Whitefield and Lancaster to the north.
